MONARCH NIGHTCLUB - interior refresh

In 2021, Monarch Group approached Rite Guy about doing a ‘refresh’ of the nightclub’s interior. They wished to breathe new life to the space with a fresh color palette, fully revised furniture layout, art selection, and prop styling. This project was completed during the mandatory pandemic closures of gathering spaces, and so the goal of ‘de-steampunking’ the space was achieved as efficiently as possible by pulling from and restoring existing props and furniture from storage, as well as a selection of ‘new’ vintage pieces sources from local resellers. All wall art was selected from local working San Francisco artists, and even the Rules of Conduct signs were commissioned from a local artist/ graphic designer (and calibrated specifically to pop in low lighting conditions). Custom installations, like the creeping gold vine, were created with small decor elements purchased inexpensively in bulk before being modified and installed by hand.
